From basketball to sneaker culture. The iconic AJ1 is back in Pine Green
From basketball to sneaker culture. The Air Jordan 1 is back in a “Pine Green” inspired colourway, first seen back in 2018. The new take on this classic silhouette is constructed using black leather overlays with a white midsole and green outsole. It also features a bold green toe and Nike Swoosh ™ along with black ankle flaps and laces and a bright red fearless logo.
The influence of the Air Jordan 1 is unrivaled. After another huge year for the Jordan Brand they are starting 2020 with a bang. It wasn’t always smooth sailing for this global powerhouse though. When Michael Jordan first wore this classic sneaker in 1984, he was fined $5,000 every time he stepped on the court. At the time, the sneaker broke NBA’s uniform rules and regulations but fortunately Nike saw the long-term potential in this brand and paid his gamely fine.
This unusual yet all-so-familiar colour scheme creates a beautiful aesthetic that will add a colour pop to anyone’s outfit. So, the question is, will you be copping these “Christmas” themed Jordans?
